Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter addresses all three bullet points, but the development of ideas is somewhat limited. You describe the course as a 'promotion course' but fail to provide specific details about the content or the provider. The request for the company's help is clear, but the explanation of how the course will be useful for your job is vague, focusing more on personal salary gain than professional contribution. To improve, ensure you provide concrete details about the course curriculum and explain how the skills gained will specifically benefit your current role or the company's operations.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your intent. You use some transition signals like 'Commencing with' and 'Moving further' to guide the reader. However, some of the linking is mechanical, and the flow between sentences is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing, such as 'actually its none other than it is promotion course'. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that the progression of ideas within paragraphs is smoother and less repetitive.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and sophistication required for higher bands. Phrases like 'bundle of work' and 'digital way' are slightly unnatural in a professional context. You also rely on repetitive or simplistic structures, such as 'get best and higher position'. To improve, try to incorporate more professional collocations and precise terminology related to professional development and workplace communication. Avoid informal phrasing and focus on using words that accurately convey your professional intent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You demonstrate a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'training courses that is posted' (subject-verb agreement), 'I am capable to do' (incorrect preposition/collocation), and 'I am confident to saying' (incorrect verb form). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization and comma usage. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and verb patterns. Proofreading for common errors like missing articles and incorrect tense usage will significantly improve your accuracy.
