Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses all three bullet points: describing the course, explaining how the company can help, and stating the benefits. However, the development of these ideas is quite limited, and the letter is under the 150-word minimum requirement. The explanation of how the company can help is particularly vague, as you only ask to be added to a list rather than discussing potential financial support or time off. To improve, you should expand on the specific skills the course offers and provide a more professional justification for why the company should invest in your training.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter follows a basic logical structure with an introduction, body, and conclusion. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with' and 'Moreover' to link ideas. However, the paragraphing is not fully effective, as the body paragraphs are quite short and the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'recently I watched advertisement', where the connection to the previous sentence is slightly disjointed. Improving the use of transition words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear, singular focus would enhance the overall flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'training course' and 'get'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'showed in company advertisement' (should be 'saw in a company advertisement') and 'apply for this position' (when you have not yet taken the course). To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more professional, topic-specific vocabulary related to workplace training and career development, and ensure that your word choices are grammatically accurate in context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and some attempted complex sentences, but there are frequent grammatical errors. Issues include missing articles ('in company advertisement'), incorrect verb tenses ('I have been working... from so long time'), and capitalization errors ('i', 'sir or madam'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around punctuation marks. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Focusing on basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and consistent capitalization will significantly improve your accuracy.
