Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the development of the task. While you have touched upon the three bullet points, the content is underdeveloped. For instance, you mention a 'fluent communication skills' course but provide no specific details about the duration, cost, or format of the training. Furthermore, the request for company help is vague, and the explanation of how it benefits the job is quite general. To improve, you must expand on your ideas with specific examples or justifications to fully address the prompt and meet the length requirement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The letter is very short, consisting of only two main paragraphs, which limits the logical flow. While there is a basic attempt at organization, the transition between the introduction and the body is abrupt. You use some cohesive devices like 'By doing' and 'not only... but also', but these are sometimes used incorrectly or awkwardly. The paragraphing is insufficient for a formal letter. To achieve a higher score, ensure you use a wider range of linking words and organize your ideas into distinct, well-developed paragraphs for each bullet point in the prompt.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive. You frequently use basic terms like 'good', 'help', and 'make'. There are also several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'Manger' instead of 'Manager', 'add' instead of 'advertisement', and the confusion between 'are' and 'our'. These errors, combined with the lack of variety, make the writing feel simplistic. To improve, try to incorporate more professional and precise vocabulary related to business and training, and pay closer attention to common spelling and homophone errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement and pronoun usage, such as 'are company' instead of 'our company' and 'if are management take' instead of 'if our management takes'. Sentence structures are mostly simple, with limited attempts at complex sentences. Punctuation is also problematic, particularly the inconsistent use of commas before and after clauses. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of possessive pronouns.
