Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The letter covers all three bullet points required by the prompt. You clearly describe the training course, explain the company's role in providing financial and time-off support, and justify the course's utility for your role. The tone is appropriate for a formal business letter. However, the development of ideas is somewhat basic. For instance, while you mention the course will help with 'precision,' expanding slightly more on a specific project or software you currently struggle with would have provided a more persuasive argument. Overall, the task is fully addressed, and the purpose of the letter is clear throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The letter is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each focusing on one of the required points. You use a range of cohesive devices such as 'On top of this,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In addition' to link your ideas. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are minor issues with referencing, such as 'if company provide,' where the article 'the' is missing. Despite these minor lapses, the progression of ideas is easy to follow, and the paragraphing is appropriate for a formal letter.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'professional training,' 'work efficiency,' and 'data management.' There are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'saw advertisement' (should be 'saw an advertisement') and 'financial assistant' (should be 'financial assistance'). Additionally, 'particulary' is misspelled. While you successfully convey your meaning, the vocabulary is somewhat functional and lacks the precision or variety required for a higher band score. Improving your control over word forms and articles would significantly enhance your lexical score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, such as 'I would be grateful if company provide...' and 'I could share my knowledge... which would helpful.' However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the company'), verb forms ('is to schedule' instead of 'is scheduled'), and missing auxiliary verbs ('would helpful' instead of 'would be helpful'). While these errors do not impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles will help improve your accuracy.
