Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points: the course is described, the request for company support is made, and the benefits to the job are explained. However, the description of the course is quite vague; you mention it provides 'a wide range of ideas' without specifying the course title, duration, or provider. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete details to make your request more persuasive. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though the opening 'Dear sir' is slightly informal compared to the required 'Dear Sir or Madam'.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate. For example, the transition 'Although, This course help...' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the flow. Additionally, the progression of ideas within the second paragraph is a bit cluttered, as you jump between the course benefits and the company's productivity. Using more varied linking words like 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'in addition to this' would improve the logical flow between your points.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'facilitate', 'productivity', and 'generosity'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors. For example, you write 'knowledge into finance' instead of 'knowledge of finance', and 'rise the productivity' instead of 'increase productivity'. There are also minor errors in word forms, such as 'advertisements on the television' (which sounds slightly unnatural in this context). Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise professional collocations would enhance your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The letter contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Notable issues include subject-verb agreement ('This course help' instead of 'helps'), incorrect preposition usage ('reply me back' instead of 'reply to me'), and punctuation errors (e.g., 'Firstly,I' and 'Although ,This'). The closing 'Your sincerely' is also grammatically incorrect; it should be 'Yours sincerely'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band.
