Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task: describing the course, requesting specific support, and explaining the benefits to the company. However, the development of these ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the description of the course is quite brief, and the explanation of how the company could help is functional but lacks professional nuance. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your ideas with more specific details—for example, mentioning the name of the training provider or explaining exactly how the 'IT skills' component will solve a current problem in your department. The tone is generally appropriate for a formal letter, though it could be more polished.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter follows a logical structure, with each paragraph addressing a specific part of the prompt. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Firstly' and 'Secondly' to signal your points. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the connection between ideas is slightly disjointed, such as in the second paragraph where the transition from the course description to the request for support feels abrupt. Paragraphing is used, but the internal cohesion within the paragraphs could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and better referencing to ensure a smoother progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your needs clearly. You use some relevant business-related terms like 'project management', 'certification', and 'financial burden'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'share about the training course', 'get enrolled in', and 'boost up my overall personality'. These errors do not impede communication, but they indicate a limited range of vocabulary. To improve, focus on learning common collocations used in professional correspondence, such as 'enrol in a course' rather than 'get enrolled in', and 'professional development' instead of 'boost up my personality'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'The course I chose that is project management course is a duration of week', which is syntactically confused, and 'There are some support which I required', which contains a subject-verb agreement error. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with spacing around commas and periods. While these errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your message, they occur frequently enough to impact the overall fluency of the writing. Focusing on basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement will help improve your accuracy.
