Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have addressed all three bullet points required by the task. You described the course, explained the need for a recommendation, and mentioned how it benefits your role. However, the development of these points is somewhat thin. For instance, you mention the course focuses on 'Networking concepts' but do not explain how this specifically applies to your current projects or the company's goals. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete details about the course content and a more persuasive justification for why the company should invest in this training. The tone is appropriate for a formal letter to a manager.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your points. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with,' 'Moreover,' and 'Additionally.' However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical. For example, the transition between the need for a recommendation and the contribution to the organization's vision feels slightly abrupt. Furthermore, the final paragraph is a bit disconnected from the previous points. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph builds upon the last would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'Cyber Security Analyst,' 'expertise,' and 'domain.' However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation. For example, 'there always will be necessity of learning' is unnatural; 'there will always be a need to learn' would be better. Similarly, 'It would be appreciate' is grammatically incorrect and should be 'It would be appreciated.' While your vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, it lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is good. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'this course is containing' (should be 'contains'), 'help me to grow my skills from this course' (should be 'help me develop my skills through this course'), and 'beneficial for company's and my own growth' (should be 'the company's growth and my own'). While these errors do not prevent communication, they indicate a lack of control over complex structures and minor grammatical points, which limits your score in this criterion.
