Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The letter addresses all three bullet points, but the development is quite limited. You describe the course as an 'advance level' one, but provide no specific details about its content or duration. The explanation of how the company can help is vague, and the benefits to your job are repetitive. Furthermore, the response is under the 150-word minimum, which significantly impacts your score as the ideas are not fully developed. To improve, you should provide more specific details about the course and elaborate on how the company's support (e.g., funding or time off) would specifically facilitate your professional growth.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter is structured with an opening and body paragraphs, but the flow is disjointed. There is a lack of cohesive devices to link your ideas; for example, the transition between the course description and the company's help is abrupt. The paragraphing is inconsistent, and the final sentence is incomplete ('If Is'), which disrupts the logical progression of the text. To improve, use linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in addition' to connect your sentences and ensure each paragraph has a clear, singular focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is basic and repetitive, often relying on simple phrasing. There are several errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'clint' instead of 'client', 'batter' instead of 'better', and 'job roll' instead of 'job role'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise professional terminology related to training and business communication, and ensure you check your spelling of common business terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are issues with subject-verb agreement ('i am really interesting' instead of 'interested'), incorrect article usage, and sentence fragments. Your sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at more complex sentences often result in errors, such as 'I can be able to join'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically verb tenses and the correct use of modal verbs like 'can' and 'could'. Proofreading for basic punctuation and capitalization is also essential.
