IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You work for an international company. You have seen an advertisement for a training course which will be useful for your job.

Write a letter to your manager. In your letter

• describe the training course you want to do
• explain what the company could do to help you
• say how the course will be useful for your job

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Dear manager,

I am writing this letter regarding an advertisement about a training course in which I would like to enroll.

This course is known as workday analyst. Currently, I am working as a payroll manager. As a part of my job, I use different software to calculate number of hours worked, applicable taxes and other financial incentives. Workday is a cloud application which perform all these calculations in one software with minimum human effort needed. This will reduce the workload.

Therefore, I would like to take this training course. The company can provide me funding to cover my enrollment and tuition fees.

This will benefit the company as well, as this will upgrade the payroll system, eventually contributes towards modernization.
