You work for an international company. You have seen an advertisement for a training course which will be useful for your job.

Write a letter to your manager. In your letter

• describe the training course you want to do
• explain what the company could do to help you
• say how the course will be useful for your job

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to ask for your permission to pursue a French learning course started next month as advertised in a local newspaper.

This course is designed for the beginners who can be trained to communicate in French fluently in three months. Their most learning sessions are in the evenings after working hours and mock test will be taken every weekends. After completion of the course, the school will reward with a certificate that will be accepted in many countries.

I was wondering if the company would help me in paying a part of the tuition fees, since this skill could be useful to deal with our French speaking customers. Furthermore, I would appreciate it if you could give a paid day off on every Friday to prepare for the mock tests.

This course not only helps to deal with our French speaking customer but also help us to establish our branches in French speaking countries as discussed in our recent meeting regarding company's future goals. Please let me know if any further information or actions required from me.
