Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the score. While you have attempted to address the bullet points, the content is severely underdeveloped. You mention the course and the duration, but you fail to explain how the company could specifically help you (e.g., financial support or time off) and you do not provide any detail on how the course would be useful for your job beyond a brief mention. To improve, you must expand on each bullet point with specific details and examples to meet the length requirement and demonstrate full task completion.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The letter is very short, making it difficult to assess the use of cohesive devices. There is a basic attempt at paragraphing, but the progression of ideas is limited due to the lack of content. The transition between the introduction and the body is abrupt. To improve, you should use a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in addition') to connect your ideas more fluidly and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, focused purpose.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is functional but basic. You rely on simple phrasing such as 'I saw the advertisement' and 'I want to request'. There is little attempt to use more sophisticated or topic-specific vocabulary related to professional development or business communication. To reach a higher band, you should incorporate more precise terminology, such as 'professional development', 'enhance my skill set', or 'financial sponsorship', which would be more appropriate for a formal letter to a manager.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The grammar is generally accurate in the simple sentences provided, but there is a lack of complex structures. You have a few minor errors, such as '8 int he morning' (typo) and 'request our organization to support me for this coaching' (which is slightly unnatural phrasing). To improve, you should aim to include a variety of complex sentence structures, such as conditional sentences or relative clauses, and ensure that your punctuation and spelling are carefully checked.
