You work for an international company. You have seen an advertisement for a training course which will be useful for your job.

Write a letter to your manager. In your letter

• describe the training course you want to do
• explain what the company could do to help you
• say how the course will be useful for your job

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir,

I would like to request you to kindly allow me to do a Fashion communication course which will be useful for my profile in your company. This training course will help me to understand merchandising better and also helps in creating promotional strategies for the fashion and lifestyle industry.

As a Fashion designer, I believe that instead of focusing only on designing and draping section, this course will help me to create visual narratives and brand identities which will be beneficial for your company’s growth.

So, I am hoping for your support and little flexibility from your company. I know this will be little arduous for me but with your support I will manage. I will be very grateful if you allow me to do this training course with my current job.

I kindly request to consider my request and take necessary steps. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for your time and consideration.
