The training course I am particularly interested in is the phlebotomy training course. This course is offered in every summer and it lasts three weeks. The course usually involves certain aspects of phlebotmy including venipunture , Insulin insertion and patient handling as well. As we already know we are in dire need of a phlebotomist in our company after jennifer's resignation, I would like to step in to the role to contribute to the company.

As our company provides education assistance program for those in need and those whose education aligns with their role. I would appreciate beijg considered for the educational assistance program, as this will help company recover an essential position they lost recently.

This course will provide me with all the essential trainibg required for phlebotmist position , while i continue my current with our company. Furthermore, this course will provide me with not just venipunture skills , but also with patient handling and specimen managemnet too.

I hope to hear positive response from you soon . Thank you for your time and consideration.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0

The student covers all parts of the task well. The letter begins by describing the training course, noting that it is a phlebotomy training program at Westfort Academy lasting three weeks, covering venipuncture, insulin insertion, and patient handling. The second bullet point is addressed by explaining that the company could help through its educational assistance program. Finally, the third bullet point is covered by explaining how the course will be useful for the job, specifically helping fill the vacant phlebotomist position left by Jennifer's resignation. The tone is mostly appropriate for a formal letter to a manager, and all bullet points are well-developed, earning a solid Band 7.0 for Task Achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter is generally coherent and logically organized into distinct paragraphs, each addressing a different aspect of the prompt. For instance, paragraph one introduces the course and the reason for writing, paragraph two discusses company assistance, and paragraph three details the job utility. However, referencing and cohesive devices are sometimes mechanical or lacking, and the salutation and sign-off contain minor formatting issues. Paragraphing is used appropriately overall, but progression could be smoother. This places the response comfortably at Band 6.5.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary suitable for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'educational assistance program', 'specimen management', and 'phlebotomist'. However, there are several spelling errors and typos throughout the text, including 'accomodation' instead of 'application', 'phlebotmy', 'venipunture', 'beijg', 'trainibg', and 'managemnet'. Despite these errors, communication is never impeded, and the vocabulary is sufficient for the task requirements, justifying a Band 6.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0

The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as 'As our company provides education assistance program for those in need and those whose education aligns with their role.' There are several grammatical and punctuation errors present, such as sentence fragments and incorrect capitalization ('i continue my current with our company' is missing a noun). However, the majority of sentences are understandable, and errors rarely impede overall communication. This reflects the descriptors for Band 6.0.
