Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

You identify the general purpose of the letter: you have seen an advertisement for AI training and believe it could help your work. However, the response does not adequately address the task. It gives almost no description of the course, does not explain what support you want from the company, and offers only a broad claim about AI being important rather than explaining how the training would help with your specific duties. The response is also substantially below the required 150 words: it contains 74 words, with 8 words copied from the prompt excluded. To improve, cover all three bullet points with specific details, such as course content, funding or time off, and a work task you could perform better afterward.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic sequence: you introduce the advertisement, mention the course, and state that it may be useful for your work. This gives the reader a simple overall direction. However, the ideas are not developed into clear paragraphs, and several sentences repeat the same point, particularly “this course will be very halp for my work” and “I wish this course is very useful for my work.” The transitions between ideas are limited, while “If i learn this course” does not clearly connect the general comment about AI to a specific job benefit. Organise the letter into an opening request, details and support needed, and a closing. Use clear links such as “In addition” and “As a result” to show how the points relate.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use a small set of relevant words and phrases, including “advertisement,” “training course,” “AI training,” and “useful for my work,” so the main topic can be understood. However, vocabulary is repetitive and too general to describe the course or its workplace value precisely. There are also frequent spelling errors, such as “w ist,” “informe,” “jos,” “halp,” and “sactor,” which make the letter less clear and reduce control of written vocabulary. Aim to learn and check accurate forms, and use more specific expressions for the course and its benefits. For example, you could refer to “practical AI applications” or explain that the training would help you “automate routine tasks” rather than repeating that it will be useful.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response mainly uses short, simple statements, such as “I think this course will be useful for my jos,” and attempts a conditional structure in “If i learn this course.” This communicates the basic message, but the range of sentence forms is very limited and grammatical control is inconsistent. For example, “This course offer me” needs a third-person singular verb, and “I wish this course is very useful” uses an unsuitable verb pattern for expressing a hope. Capitalisation and punctuation are also unreliable: “i” should be capitalised, and the opening “Dear sir.” should use a comma. Practise accurate present-tense forms and sentence patterns such as “I hope the company can…” and “The course would help me to…”.
