Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you describe a two-week course in user interface and web development, ask the company to pay fees and allow time away from duties, and explain that it could improve your technical skills for current projects. The purpose of the letter is clear and the details are relevant. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, the course description lists topics but does not explain what you would learn from them, while the benefit to your job is expressed generally as gaining skills and helping with a project. Add a specific example of a work task the training would help you complete, and clarify the practical support you need.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: you introduce your request, describe the course, explain the support needed, and give the workplace benefits before closing. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and links such as “In addition” and “Thus” show an effort to connect ideas. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and also shows some flexibility in linking information. To make progression more consistently clear, ensure each sentence develops the paragraph’s main point. The final benefit sentence, “Thus, i gain my knowlage and helps as to our current project,” is difficult to follow because the relationship between gaining knowledge and helping the project is unclear. Use clearer references and avoid relying on a connector when the underlying idea is not fully expressed.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main request, including “user interface,” “web development,” “course fees,” and “technical skill.” However, the range is limited and several noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the letter less clear or natural. Examples include “backside development,” “professional and expariance peoples,” and “financial assistance for bought materials.” These choices sometimes make the reader work to infer your meaning. Aim to learn common phrases for training and workplace requests, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise wording for the course content and the skills you expect to gain would make your message clearer and more professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mixture of simple sentences and some longer structures, such as “I would appreciate if the company could cover the course fees and allow me…” The main message remains understandable, but some grammatical errors occur in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction. For example, “it will be last two week and covered” needs a consistent future form, and “i gain my knowlage and helps” has an unclear subject–verb relationship. Capitalisation of “I” and sentence beginnings is also inconsistent. Practise forming accurate requests with “I would appreciate it if…” and check that each sentence has a clear subject and matching verb. Greater control of these patterns would make the letter more fluent and professional.
