Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the main points: you describe a three-day computer course, request payment of the fee and time away from duties, and explain that improved computer skills could help you work faster. However, the course description and its relevance are brief, and the benefit “make more interesting” is unclear. The request is also not fully developed: specify whether you are asking for paid leave or simply time off, and explain how the training relates to your particular responsibilities. The response is three words below the required minimum, so it does not meet the length requirement. Adding a little relevant detail to each point would make the letter more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a recognisable sequence: you introduce the course, make your request, explain its value, and give the dates. Paragraph breaks help separate these purposes. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes abrupt, as in “Please pay my enrollment fee and give me three day break… So i can learn…”. The final request and closing are also compressed together. Some links between ideas are unclear, particularly the move from the course’s low fee to the request for company support. Use complete sentences and clearer transitions, and keep the course details, support requested, and job benefits in distinct, connected paragraphs to make the organisation easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “training course,” “registration fee,” “enrollment fee,” and “regular duties,” so the reader can identify the main subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or combinations are inaccurate or unclear: “advance technology,” “do quickly work,” and “make more interesting” do not express your meaning naturally. There are also spelling and form errors, such as “regisitration.” Aim for precise workplace and training vocabulary, and check common collocations. For example, describe the course as teaching “advanced software applications” and say that the skills will help you “complete tasks more efficiently.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The letter communicates its basic message using mostly short, simple sentences, with a few attempts to connect ideas. However, grammatical errors occur frequently and sometimes make the intended meaning harder to follow. Examples include “I want take this course,” “give me three day break,” and “I would be appreciate it,” where verb forms or sentence patterns are incorrect. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “So i” and “As you know ,I”. Practise accurate request structures such as “I would like to take this course” and “I would appreciate it if you could approve my request.” Use a wider range of sentence patterns only after securing these basic forms.
