Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you identify an agriculture-related course, ask the company to adjust your working hours, and explain that the training could introduce improved growing and organic methods. The request is understandable and relevant, and the letter has an appropriate opening and closing. However, the course description is unclear: “new methodology or techniques” does not give a definite course title or explain its content in much detail. The benefit to your role as a supervisor is also only briefly stated; explain how the techniques would help you improve crop productivity or guide staff. Developing these details and making the request more clearly persuasive would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter is arranged in a sensible sequence: you introduce the reason for writing, describe the course, make a request, and then explain its benefits. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these stages, and phrases such as “Apart from this” signal an additional point. This clear overall organisation is a strength. Some connections are less smooth or precise, however. For example, “Not only this course is important for me” does not clearly link the personal benefit to the company benefit, and “In this way” refers broadly to the preceding ideas. Use more natural transitions and make references explicit—for instance, state directly how the course’s practical methods would benefit the company. This would make the progression more fluent and less dependent on formulaic linking phrases.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is sufficient to communicate the main purpose, with relevant terms such as “productivity,” “agriculture,” “organic method,” and “planting.” These show awareness of the topic and help the reader understand the proposed training. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, or collocation problems make parts less natural. “New methodology or techniques” is vague, while “growing method” and “cutting” are not precise descriptions of agricultural processes in this context. There is also a spelling error in “reagrding.” Aim for more specific course-related language and natural combinations, such as “crop cultivation techniques” or “harvesting methods.” This would improve precision and make the letter sound more professional.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use both simple sentences and attempts at longer structures, including “As I am working as supervisor and I have to do different things…” and “If it is possible, can I do work part time…”. The intended meaning is generally clear, and the paragraphs contain some correctly formed sentences. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly with articles, verb forms, and sentence construction. For example, “this will be a beneficial” has an unnecessary article, and “they will also giving knowledge” needs a correctly formed verb phrase. The request sentence beginning “I have one request to company could you please…” also needs clearer punctuation and structure. Practise combining clauses accurately and checking articles and verb forms; this will make your varied sentence attempts more controlled.
