Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main purpose by naming a sales and marketing course, asking for a change to your working hours, and explaining that the training could benefit both your knowledge and the company. However, the usefulness to your specific job is only stated generally; explain, for example, how the course would help you improve sales results or communicate with clients. The request for support is also not fully clear: you offer two possible arrangements, but do not specify whether you are asking the manager to approve one or both. The opening and closing are present, but the salutation does not follow the requested wording. Overall, the relevant points are included, but they remain limited and under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter follows a broadly understandable order: you introduce the course, describe its location and instructors, explain the scheduling difficulty, and request an adjustment. This gives the reader a basic sense of your purpose. However, nearly all the information is placed in one long paragraph, so the different points are not clearly separated. Several ideas are joined with commas or repeated connectors such as “So” and “Hopefully,” which makes the progression feel crowded rather than controlled. The reference to “the class” and “that course” is generally understandable, but the request and its alternatives could be signposted more clearly. Use separate paragraphs for the course, the support requested, and its work-related value, with clearer linking between them.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “sales and marketing,” “faculties,” “international,” and “adjustment,” and the reader can understand the general message. There are also attempts to use more specific expressions, such as “internationally” and “complete my whole work.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, including “do one course,” “the institute … providing classes of it,” and “do adjustment of my one hour.” Spelling errors such as “writting,” “benefical,” and “Sincerly” are noticeable and reduce the accuracy of the vocabulary. Aim for natural workplace phrases and check spelling; for example, say “attend a course” and “adjust my working hours.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect several ideas in longer sentences, including the explanation of the class schedule and the possible change to your workday. However, these complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts of the letter difficult to follow. For example, “The only problem is that class of that course starts and 4:00 pm” has an incorrect preposition and article, while “our office hours is till 5:00pm” has a subject–verb agreement error. The sentence beginning “if you could do adjustment” also lacks a clear grammatical structure, and “I can starts work” uses the wrong verb form. Use shorter, complete sentences and check articles, agreement, verb forms, and punctuation.
