Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
You address all three points clearly: you describe a part-time communication course and its dates, request flexible hours and help with the fees, and explain its relevance to your sales role. The link between communication skills and dealing with clients is especially relevant. Your purpose is clear from the opening, and the formal greeting and sign-off suit the situation. To make the ideas more fully developed, specify how the course’s content or schedule relates to your particular duties, and explain more precisely what support you need—for example, whether the company could fund all or part of the fee. This would add detail to the requests and make the benefits more specific to your job.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The letter has a clear progression: purpose, course details, requests for support, and expected work benefits. Separate paragraphs help the reader follow these stages, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “therefore” show relationships between ideas. The closing is also appropriate. Some connections are less smooth, however. “Which will commence…” is separated from the sentence it depends on, and the final benefits paragraph packs several points into one long sentence. Join the course detail to the preceding sentence and divide the final explanation into shorter units. Also use transitions selectively: the repeated “therefore” makes the relationship between ideas feel somewhat mechanical.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for a formal workplace request, including “flexible working hours,” “communication strategies,” “sales executive,” and “satisfactory responses.” These choices make the topic and your intended benefit clear. There are some inaccurate or unnatural word combinations, such as “join for the…course,” “seek for help,” and “offer me to learn.” “Clients enquires” also has a spelling and word-form problem, while “akiils” appears to be a misspelling. These slips do not prevent understanding, but they reduce precision. Aim to learn common collocations as complete phrases and proofread carefully for spelling and plural forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional request (“if the company can allow me…”) and a sentence explaining how the course could benefit your work. The overall meaning remains clear, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. “Which will commence…” is a sentence fragment; connect it to the previous sentence. In “I would be appreciated,” the passive form does not fit the intended meaning, and “therefore” should not begin a new sentence with a lowercase letter. The final sentence also contains a long chain of clauses that is difficult to control. Practise complete relative clauses, accurate verb forms, and punctuation that separates related ideas.
