Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is often argued that choice of clothing corresponds to one's culture and character. While it is true that cultural background and one's personality is easily judged via their choice of clothing. I firmly agree with the view that cultures and traditions are shown via dressing sense of an individual. This essay will not only elaborate on my viewpoint but also provide relevant examples to support it.
To commence with, one of the most significant reason is that the choice of dressing up totally depends on the person. For instance, people who shows attitude, donor wear vibrant colors, they prefer wearing black or dark colors so show a symbol of dignity and pride. While people who are jolly and lively, prefer to wear vibrant and attractive colors, that are pleasing to others as well. This not only disributes happiness they have but also such people standout.
Moreover, another crucial factor to consider is Culture. Some dressup and properly express their culture. Some particularly good examples are Punjabi wearing shalwar kamiz, Pakhtoon from KPK wearing a shawl and Sindhi people wearing some specific prints that shows their culture without speaking. Their dressing sense speaks for them. Thus, it is evident that clothing shows one's culture without even telling anybody from where they actually belong. Their attire speaks for them.
In conclusion, although some may argue that choice of clothes can not decide one's character and culture, I srongly believe that their attire represent them fully because of the reasons discussed above.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear: you agree that clothing can reveal both character and culture, and you address both aspects with relevant examples. The discussion of dark colours as a sign of dignity and bright colours as a sign of a lively personality supports the character point, while the Punjabi, Pakhtoon and Sindhi examples make the cultural point more specific. However, the character claims are broad and not fully explained; for example, wearing dark colours does not necessarily indicate pride or attitude. The opening also briefly introduces the idea that clothing can be used to judge people, but this distinction is not explored. Develop each reason with more careful qualification and explanation so the support is as convincing as the position.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion that restates your view. Linking phrases such as “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the progression, and the cultural examples are grouped together effectively. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some features of more flexible progression. However, several transitions feel formulaic, including “To commence with” and “another crucial factor to consider,” while “While it is true…” is left as a sentence fragment and interrupts the opening’s flow. The repeated idea that attire “speaks for them” also adds little. Use more natural links between claims and examples, and make each sentence advance the argument.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “cultural background,” “vibrant,” “dignity,” “traditions” and “attire,” which allows you to discuss both personality and cultural identity. Some choices are effective, particularly the specific clothing examples. However, noticeable word-choice, collocation and spelling problems limit precision: “choice of dressing up,” “shows attitude,” “disributes happiness,” and “standout” are awkward or inaccurate in context. “Dressing sense” is also repeated where more natural expressions could be used. These errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points, but they make parts of the argument less fluent. Focus on accurate collocations and proofread spelling, while retaining the useful topic vocabulary you already use.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause beginning “While it is true…” and a concluding sentence with “although.” Most of the intended meaning remains understandable, but some grammatical errors affect clarity and control. The opening “While it is true that…” is not a complete sentence, and “one of the most significant reason” has a number-agreement error. In “people who shows,” the verb does not agree with its plural subject; the sentence beginning “While people who are jolly…” is also incomplete. There are some problems with articles, plurals and punctuation, including the comma splice in “colors, that are pleasing.” Check that each sentence has a complete main clause, and review subject–verb agreement and clause punctuation.
