Student answer (Band 6.0)
This world is full of different cultures. Some people say that it is doable to tell a lot regarding an individual's culture and character from their choice of clothes. I partially agreed with this statement because everyone do purchase clothes according to their culture, but It is very uncommon to guess about a person's character by just his choice of clothes.
On the one hand , many people often argued that it is very predictable to tell about a person's culture by their choice of clothes because people mostly choose clothes according to their culture and community. Furthermore, If people wear clothes which are acceptable for their community and culture, will be considered more respectful. For instance, In Pakistan it is very common to wear shalwar and qameez despite western dressing such as pent and shirt.
On the other hand, many people believe that it is very uncertain to guess anyone's personality just by seeing his choise of clothes the primary reason is that everyone has his own unique personality or nature which can not be measureable according to his choice of cloths. For example, If a person wear eastern clothes it does not automatically mean that he is typical Asian and it would be a vulgar person.
In conclusion , I firmly believe that everyone has a different personality and they wear clothes according to their culture but this does not mean that he is a good person or bad.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
Your position is identifiable: you partly agree, accepting that clothing can indicate culture but arguing it cannot reliably reveal character. The Pakistan example supports the cultural point, and the two-sided structure addresses both aspects of the question. However, the character argument is less clearly explained: the example about eastern clothes does not convincingly show why clothing cannot reveal personality, and the conclusion mainly repeats your view rather than drawing the reasoning together. The response also contains 233 words, so it is 17 words below the 250-word minimum; the eight words copied from the prompt are not counted. Develop the character point with a more relevant example and add explanation to meet the required length.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction states your position, two body paragraphs present contrasting points, and a conclusion restates your view. The signposts “On the one hand” and “On the other hand” make the shift between culture and character easy to follow. This clear structure is a strength. Some connections are nevertheless mechanical, and the reasoning within the second body paragraph is not fully clear: the example about eastern clothes and being “a typical Asian” does not directly establish the point about character. There are also awkward transitions within sentences, such as “the primary reason is that.” Make links between each claim and its example more explicit, and use referencing carefully so readers can follow who “they” and “he” refer to.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “culture,” “community,” “personality,” and “respectful.” There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “partially agreed” and “predictable.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural and sometimes make the meaning unclear: “doable to tell,” “choise,” “cloths,” and “it would be a vulgar person.” Some repetition of “clothes” and “culture” also limits flexibility. Aim for precise collocations and check spelling and word forms; for example, describe clothing as “traditional dress” and say that it “may reflect cultural identity.” Replacing vague or unsuitable expressions with exact language would make your argument clearer and more appropriate for an academic essay.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause beginning “because” and a conditional structure with “If people wear clothes…”. The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect clarity. For example, “everyone do purchase” should use a singular verb, while “everyone has his own unique personality … which can not be measureable” contains problems with the relative clause and verb form. The conditional sentence “If people wear clothes …, will be considered” also lacks a clear subject in its main clause. Review subject–verb agreement and ensure each clause has a complete subject and verb. More accurate control of these patterns would make your complex sentences easier to understand.
