Student answer (Band 6.5)
In today's world everyone likes to wear fashionable clothes. Some people judges personality and culture of other people from their choice of clothes. In this essay, I will include all reasons and relevant examples of why I completely disagree with this view.
One of the main reason why I don't believe that people should be judge by their fashion sense because some people do not like to show off their money by wearing expensive clothes. For an example, my father is working in BMW showroom as a sales advisor, he told me one incident that happened to him and it was like one young man between the age of 25-30 years old came to showroom and asked for the latest model of BMW car, and he was wearing causal pair of clothes. At the end of the conversation my father got to know that he is owning a multinational company. So that day, my father gave me one advice that never judge a book by it's cover.
Second reason is, some people do not like to spend too much on clothes. They believe that clothes are just use for cover our body parts. They also believe that, there are other important things which are useful and more needed than clothes. Therefore, I believe that Buying an expensive clothes does not define the character and culture of person.
To be conclude, everyone has a right to make their own choices. However, I believe that a person should be judge by their behaviour and ethics rather than their clothes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, particularly the personal anecdote about the BMW showroom, which serves as a good supporting example. However, the development is somewhat limited; the second body paragraph is quite brief and could have been expanded with more depth regarding how character is formed by factors other than clothing. While the position is consistent, the overall argument would benefit from more sophisticated analysis to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organised into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central idea. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'One of the main reason', 'Second reason is', and 'To be conclude'. However, some of these are used mechanically, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disjointed. Referencing is generally clear, but the transition between the anecdote and the conclusion could be smoother. The paragraphing is appropriate for the task.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks variety and precision. There are some repetitive phrases, such as 'some people' and 'clothes'. While the student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, there are errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'he is owning a multinational company' (should be 'owns') and 'casual pair of clothes' (should be 'casual clothes'). The range is sufficient to convey meaning but does not demonstrate the flexibility required for a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that, while not impeding communication, are noticeable. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('Some people judges', 'one of the main reason'), incorrect article usage, and punctuation errors ('it's' used for possessive 'its'). The control over complex structures is inconsistent, and the frequency of errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band.
