Student answer (Band 6.0)

It is undeniably that culture are every culture has their different tradition and religion. Owing to this, a large amount of individuals assume that rather than learning about the cultures people judge to other by their dressing style. I partially agree with this notion and I will explain my point of view in the upcoming stanzas.

Commencing with the first and foremost point of this phenomenon why people judge to other from their choice of clothes. To be more clear, as every culture has different dressing style such as the cultural cloths like hijab, saree, kurta pajama. So, whoever wear these kind of garments can be easily judge by their culture. To cite an example, the crown of Indian nation men is Turban, which show the ruins and tradition of their country due to this public easily recognize their culture and religion.

On the flip side, the another name of trend is fashion. In these days, it is very difficult to decide another character culture from their attires. To explain it more, nowadays teenagers easily influence from celebrities due to this they try or prefer to wear divergent kind of cloths in order to change their appearance because of this it is became a debatable issue in the society to judge others from their dressing style.

To putt in nutshell, by analyzing the aforementioned domains, is evident that in the historical time people usually judged form their attire style. However, because of the fashion people cannot recognize to other from their cloths.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the cultural significance of clothing and the impact of modern fashion trends. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention traditional garments like the 'turban' or 'saree', the explanation of how these reflect 'character' is underdeveloped. The essay maintains a clear position throughout, but the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. To improve, ensure that each body paragraph fully explores the 'why' and 'how' behind your claims rather than just stating them. The conclusion is a bit abrupt and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the progression of your argument. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Commencing with', 'On the flip side', and 'To putt in nutshell'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural, such as 'upcoming stanzas' (which is not appropriate for an essay). Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, and the flow between sentences could be smoother. Improving the variety and accuracy of your linking words will help your ideas connect more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary used is generally adequate to convey your meaning, but it is often repetitive or imprecise. For example, you use 'judge' and 'culture' multiple times in close proximity. There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'ruins and tradition' (likely meaning 'roots') and 'divergent kind of cloths'. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use a wider range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations, while ensuring that your word choices are accurate and appropriate for the context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'It is undeniably that culture are every culture has' and 'people judge to other'. There are also issues with subject-verb agreement and article usage throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focusing on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage will significantly improve your score.
