Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, some people assume that most of the people judge other people from their clothes, but some people says that instead of judging people from clothes you can tell lot of things about persons culture and character. I strongly agree with this statement. I will shed light upon this trend in upcoming phrases.
There are myraid of reasons behind this statement that I strongly agree that some people say that it is possible to tell about person's culture and character which is true. If we just looking their good clothes and judging that this person is good or this person is rich but in actual he is not. Always tell about person's character how he lives in the community, how he help the people, how he respect the others, which makes the person great.
Some people are very curious about their culture they attached with their roots. They always wear simple clothes which they normally wears in their own culture but that not mean that they are not good but they respect their cultures.
For example, old people always teach about their culture because they know that after that young generation has to take care of their culture. And also if people following their culture in their life he definitely success in their life. Because he know how to deal the different situation.
In conclusion, people have to tell more about the person's character and culture instead of judging the person from their clothes. Because sometimes people in good clothes are not good in their real life. So always we have to talk more about the person to show their greatness.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is limited. While you state that clothing can reflect culture and character, the supporting arguments are somewhat repetitive and lack specific, concrete examples. For instance, you mention that 'old people always teach about their culture,' but this point is not clearly linked back to how clothing specifically acts as a signifier of that culture. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a distinct, well-explained point that directly supports your thesis. The conclusion restates your position, but the arguments throughout the body paragraphs remain at a general level, which prevents a higher score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'In this modern era' and 'In conclusion' are used, but the transitions between sentences within paragraphs are sometimes abrupt or unclear, such as the shift from discussing character to discussing culture in the second paragraph. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally confusing, making it difficult to track the logical progression of your argument. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore,' 'consequently,' 'in contrast') would help improve the flow of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite basic and repetitive. You frequently use simple words like 'good,' 'people,' and 'things.' There are also some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'upcoming phrases' (instead of 'paragraphs' or 'essay') and 'he definitely success in their life' (should be 'he will definitely be successful'). To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise, academic vocabulary and avoid repeating the same words in close proximity. Expanding your range of synonyms and learning common collocations will significantly enhance the quality of your expression.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay relies heavily on simple sentence structures. While there are attempts at complex sentences, they are often marred by grammatical errors, such as 'If we just looking their good clothes' (should be 'If we just look at their clothes') and 'he know how to deal the different situation' (should be 'he knows how to deal with different situations'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and ensuring correct verb forms. Increasing the variety of your sentence structures while maintaining accuracy will help you achieve a higher score in this criterion.
