Student answer (Band 6.5)
Many people think that it is possible to tell a lot about persons culture and character from what they wear. I agree with same to some extent as persons personality and character can be revealed by their choice of clothes but its now always the case and other things matters as well to fully explore an individuals personality. I will discuss that in detail in further paragraphs.
To begin with, outfit a person wears during different occasion reveals about person's personality and character such as wearing revealing clothes to get attention or to look classy in a house party where adults and parents are there displays a character of a woman. Moreover, that is not considered good in any culture whether it is Indian or British. So its fair enough to judge a person by clothes they wear.
On the other hand, if one is wearing decent clothes that does not mean he or she is a innocent because people wearing decent clothes and still behave mean and rude to elders and others so just wearing decent clothes does not mean that person is nice. so by just choice of clothes does not reveal the whole personality of a person the way of communication, etiquettes and other things also matter.
To conclude we can say that an individual choice of clothes can tell a lot about a person but cannot fully reveal what type of person that individual is so other things such as way of communication and the way they handle the conflicts.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. The ideas are relevant, though they are somewhat under-developed. For instance, the argument regarding 'revealing clothes' is a bit simplistic and lacks a broader cultural analysis. The conclusion is also quite brief and lacks a full sentence structure, as it trails off without a proper verb. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your examples with more depth and ensure that your arguments are fully explained rather than just stated. The response covers all parts of the task, but the development of ideas is limited.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. For example, the transition 'To begin with' is used, but the connection between sentences within paragraphs is sometimes weak. The referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the phrase 'I agree with same'. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would enhance the flow. The conclusion is also abrupt and lacks a cohesive summary of the main points discussed.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. You rely on basic terms like 'good', 'nice', and 'things'. There are also some minor errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'persons culture' (missing apostrophe) and 'its now always the case' (should be 'not'). To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated vocabulary related to the topic, such as 'superficial', 'misleading', 'social etiquette', or 'non-verbal communication'. The current range is sufficient to convey meaning but does not demonstrate a flexible or precise command of language.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Common issues include missing articles ('a innocent'), subject-verb agreement errors ('other things matters'), and punctuation mistakes (missing apostrophes in 'persons' and 'its'). While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are persistent throughout the text. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with articles, plurals, and verb forms. Increasing the variety of complex sentence structures while ensuring they are error-free will help you achieve a higher score.
