Student answer (Band 6.5)
In today's fast-paced world, many individuals hold diverse opinion on a wide range of topics. People opine that an individuals clothes can depict the character and their culture. I partially agree with this perspective and reasons of behind my argument will be discuss further.
To begin with, there is no denying the fact that it is possible to predict a person's culture and character from their clothes. The first and foremost is that various costmes depict traditions and cultures. especially in India. Secondly, well standard families always wear formal clothes in order to present their lifestyle and wealth. Additionally, many individuals promote traditional clothes to express their nationality in different country. To elaborate it, mainly in Canada, migrants prefer to wear cultural costumes on national day and express in their identity to other people.
On the other hand, nowadays it is hard to identify individuals by their clothes. It is mainly because people are too busy at workplace and fulfilling their family requirements. Hence, they prefer to wear casual comfortable clothes instead of traditional. Moreover, new generation is busy to follow the lates trends regarding clothes and represent their own style by wearing updated clothes. To elaborate it, researchers found that mainly youngsters follow their role models sense of style and implement on their life. Thus, it is difficult to mention about person's culture from their clothes.
In conclusion, the proliferation of modern perspective towards predicting individuals culture as per their costumes is poses a serious threat to the quality of life. In my opinion, on special occasion, people can represent their culture with clothes such as diwali christmas but it is hard to predict or judge on ordinary days. Therefore, an individual should be judge with their skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by providing a partially agreed position. The ideas are relevant, such as the role of traditional costumes and the influence of modern trends. However, the development is somewhat uneven. For instance, the point about 'well standard families' is vague and lacks clear explanation. The conclusion introduces a new, slightly confusing argument about the 'quality of life' which is not well-linked to the previous paragraphs. While the position is clear, the supporting arguments could be more thoroughly extended to reach a higher band. Overall, the response covers all parts of the task but remains somewhat superficial in its analysis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0
The essay is logically organized into paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with,' 'Secondly,' and 'On the other hand,' which help guide the reader. However, some transitions are mechanical or slightly awkward, such as 'To elaborate it,' which is used repetitively. The referencing is generally clear, though the connection between the final conclusion and the body paragraphs is slightly disjointed. Paragraphing is used appropriately, and the overall progression of ideas is coherent, even if the flow between sentences could be smoother.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing the writer to express their ideas clearly. There are attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'traditional costumes,' 'migrants,' and 'role models.' However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and collocation errors, such as 'well standard families,' 'reasons of behind my argument,' and 'implement on their life.' The range is sufficient to convey meaning, but the lack of precision and occasional errors in word formation prevent the response from reaching a higher band. More variety and more accurate collocations would improve the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the writer attempts complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('an individuals clothes,' 'is poses'), missing articles, and incorrect preposition usage. Punctuation is generally functional, but some sentences are slightly fragmented or poorly constructed, such as 'The first and foremost is that various costmes depict traditions and cultures. especially in India.' These errors do not impede communication, but they are frequent enough to limit the score. A greater focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy would be beneficial.
