Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position against the idea that clothing defines culture and character. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide examples like the celebration of Lohri and the global exchange of fashion, the connection between these examples and the core argument—that character cannot be judged by clothes—is occasionally tenuous. The conclusion is slightly contradictory, as it begins by admitting it is 'easy to tell about a culture' but then argues it is not 'truthful' to judge personality. To reach a higher band, ensure that your supporting arguments directly reinforce your thesis statement throughout the entire essay.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'Moreover', and 'In Conclusion' to signal the structure. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and some transitions are slightly awkward, such as 'not only this but also International influence'. Additionally, the referencing is occasionally unclear, particularly in the final paragraph where the sentence 'It brings home to some people living abroad who looks any American wearing an Indian outfit' is difficult to follow. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words would enhance the overall flow.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'multicultural society', 'protagonists', and 'ethically' (though used incorrectly here). There are some noticeable errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'folks can effortlessly depicts' (should be 'depict') and 'ethically an Indian Wear' (likely meant 'traditionally'). Some phrasing is repetitive or slightly unnatural, such as 'cultural thing' and 'exchange of culture, cloths'. To improve, focus on using more precise vocabulary and ensuring that words are used in their correct grammatical form and context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('every individual have a right', 'India is know', 'who looks any American'), incorrect verb forms ('effortlessly depicts'), and punctuation/capitalization inconsistencies. While the meaning is generally understandable, these recurring errors prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentences are constructed with accurate verb tenses and proper word order.
