Student answer (Band 5.5)

A few individuals say that it is feasible to tell a plenty about humans 's heritage and personality from their selection of attires. Owing to various reasons I disaccord with this notion which would be elucidated ahead.

Most importantly, all the humans nowadays wear trending outfits. This is because it is not easy to identify a man regarding its culture. However, they wear western clothes instead of wearing cultural clothes along with this they follow new trend. Moreover anyone cannot estimate any person from which tradition he belongs. For example a man named sunil who is from lower caste always wear fascinated costumes and anybody cannot judge him from their clothing sense. As a result, people hide their caste by putting western wardrobes.

Additionally, some peoples put unusual clothes which belongs to superior caste. The reason for the same is that they have habit to dress the clothes of unique combination. For example a man names jack always wore garments that are disliked by everyone in the society that is combination of red with yellow and always wear big trousers with uncomfortable shoes. However, he belongs to general caste. By this exampl it is true that never a book by its cover

To conclude, due to trend of fashion and unusual clothes by some people . I am disagree with this statement.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you clearly state your position, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack sufficient depth. The examples provided, such as 'Sunil' and 'Jack', are somewhat anecdotal and do not fully explore the complexities of the prompt regarding culture and character. To improve, you should expand on your reasoning by discussing how fashion trends, socio-economic factors, or personal expression influence clothing choices. Because the response is under-length and the ideas are not fully extended, it falls into the lower band range.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'along with this they follow new trend' or 'By this exampl it is true that'. The logical progression between sentences is sometimes disjointed, making it difficult for the reader to follow your line of reasoning. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that directly supports your main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

Your vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'selection of attires' (attire is usually uncountable), 'fascinated costumes' (likely meant 'fashionable'), and 'superior caste'. These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise vocabulary related to the topic of fashion and identity, and work on collocations—for example, 'follow a trend' rather than 'follow new trend'. Expanding your range of synonyms will help you express your ideas more fluently.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('some peoples put'), article usage ('a man named sunil'), and sentence structure. Many sentences are simple, and attempts at more complex structures often result in errors that affect readability. For instance, 'I am disagree with this statement' should be 'I disagree with this statement'. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles. Proofreading for common errors like missing words or incorrect verb tenses will also help improve your accuracy.
