Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is believed by many individuals that, dressing sense and appearance is the way to make a judgement about the culture and what type of the person is in this present time. I think although the choice of clothes helps to know about the person's culture and character, other factors are more responsible to judge a person's personality.
One of the main reasons why some people think choice of dressing sense tell about the culture and character of parson is the way of wearing and identity of their culture. When people wear such type of attires that belong to their tradition, then anyone can easily judge their country culture such as punjabi salwar suits for girls and kurta pajama for boys is a culture of India. Also, if people wear branded clothes these days, then these expensive clothes could tell about the character and which community this person belongs, leading to know better form the choice of apparels.
However, family background is the another factor through people can get knowledge about the individual's personality and culture. By not only reading the history of a person's family, but also enquire about that person from the neighborhood areas also beneficial to judge that what type the person is. This type of investigation helps them to attain information about both person and family backgrounds.
Status of a person in society matters a lot to think about character and culture of a person. If more rich the person is, then more the luxurious lifestyle the person would have. Nowadays, high living standard is the way to make more relations and attract the people toward the living style of in what a person lives, allowing that person to create a good image and status in from of public.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, acknowledging that clothing can reflect culture but arguing that other factors are more significant. The ideas are relevant, though the development is somewhat uneven. For instance, the paragraph regarding 'family background' is a bit vague, and the argument about 'status' in the fourth paragraph is slightly disconnected from the core question of character. While the main points are present, the explanation of how these factors specifically relate to 'character' could be more deeply explored to reach a higher band. Overall, the response is relevant and maintains a consistent stance throughout.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a central theme. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'One of the main reasons', 'However', and 'To sum up', which help the reader follow the argument. However, some transitions are mechanical, and there are instances where the flow is slightly disrupted by awkward phrasing, such as 'leading to know better form the choice of apparels'. Referencing is generally clear, but the concluding sentence is a bit repetitive and lacks a strong summary of the main arguments presented in the body paragraphs.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There are some repetitive word choices, such as 'culture', 'character', and 'person', which appear frequently. Some collocations are unnatural, such as 'dressing sense tell about' or 'in from of public'. While the student attempts to use topic-specific vocabulary like 'attires' and 'luxurious lifestyle', the overall range is limited. Spelling errors, such as 'parson' instead of 'person', occur, though they do not significantly impede communication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('dressing sense... tell', 'status... matters'), missing articles ('the culture of India'), and awkward sentence construction ('If more rich the person is, then more the luxurious lifestyle'). While the meaning is generally clear, these errors are persistent and occur in almost every sentence. To improve, the student should focus on basic sentence structure, article usage, and ensuring that complex sentences are grammatically sound.
