Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is believed by some people that it is very easy to judge someone's character and culture from their choice of clothes. In my opinion, in some situation clothes can help to finds person identity. But it is not always possible to find someone's character by choice of outfits.
To begin with, some people believe that character can easily identify by clothes. There are many reasons for this. The most significant one is some people wear their traditional clothes during some special ocassions so it is easy to judge where is this person from. For example, if someone wears sarees and kurtas it is possible to guess their country. To explain it, indian people usually wear their traditional clothes in their festival and family functions.
On the other hand, I believe that it is not always accurate judgement. The first reason is it is mandatory to dress for some people to their jobs. To explain, some indian or other cultures people needs to wears western cloths on their workplace. Hence, the culture and character judgement is not accurete in this situation. Moreover, some people like to dress themselves in another culture's traditional outfits. To explain it, some people like to traditional dresses from another cultures. So they like to wear it on their special day. For example, On indian marriages, nowadays, bride likes to wear gown instead of sarees and lengha's.
In Conclusion, Even though it is possible to judge someone's culture from their outfits, in todays world people only wear what they like, they may not believe in that Only person who belongs from that Cultural can wear their traditional outfits.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing whether clothing reflects culture and character. You maintain a clear position throughout, arguing that while clothing can indicate culture, it is not a reliable indicator of character. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation regarding workplace dress codes is a good point, but the argument about people wearing other cultures' clothing could be more deeply explored to fully support your stance. The conclusion is slightly underdeveloped and does not fully synthesize the arguments presented. To reach a higher band, ensure that each paragraph provides a more comprehensive explanation and a clear link back to the main thesis.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'In Conclusion' to signal the structure of your argument. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the connection between the sentences is disjointed. The transition between ideas within paragraphs could be smoother to improve the overall progression of the argument. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will help improve your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'traditional clothes', 'workplace', and 'outfits'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'finds person identity' instead of 'identify a person's identity' and 'accurete' (spelling error). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on repetitive structures. To improve, try to incorporate more precise synonyms and collocations, and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms to ensure your writing appears more professional and polished.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt to use complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow, such as 'character can easily identify by clothes' (passive voice error) and 'some indian or other cultures people needs to wears' (subject-verb agreement and pluralization errors). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are issues with capitalization (e.g., 'indian') and unnecessary apostrophes (e.g., 'lengha's'). To achieve a higher band, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement, consistent use of passive voice, and correct capitalization of proper nouns.
