Student answer (Band 5.5)
Dressing is despite the many things about individuals' backgrounds. Some people believe that a person can easily be judged by his or her clothes. I agree with the given statement because clothes are the main part of any culture and tradition.
The first and foremost reason behind why we can easily know about any individual by his clothes is that different cultures have different dressing scenes. To elaborate on it, in the country, individuals follow their roots and wear the clothes according to their culture. For example, India is a diverse country, and Indians belong to different cultures; therefore, their dresses show which culture or area they come from. Besides, dressing styles are learned by humans from their ancestors, and they follow the same as per their parents and grandparents.
Moving further, we can not only judge people's culture by their clothes but also know about their character. There are several ways to know about this. Firstly, a person who is calm by nature always wears simple clothes, and an individual who is aggressive by nature always uses stylish dresses. Secondly, dress also shows the status of a person. Rich people often wear expensive clothes and discriminate against middle-class people. Finally, clothes are also shows the human genders because boys wear different clothes as compared to girls, as well as transgender people who use mixed.
In conclusion, different people who follow the their roots wear clothes according to their traditions.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position, but the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you provide examples regarding cultural dress, the link between clothing and character is asserted rather than logically argued, relying on generalizations such as 'calm people wear simple clothes.' Furthermore, the response is under the 250-word minimum requirement, which limits the depth of your analysis and results in a penalty. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with more nuanced examples and ensure you meet the minimum word count to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, and there is a basic attempt at logical progression. You use some cohesive devices like 'The first and foremost reason,' 'Moving further,' and 'In conclusion' to structure your thoughts. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where the conclusion is abrupt and lacks a summary of your main points. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects back to your central argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. You rely on basic terms like 'main part,' 'different,' and 'know about.' There are also some awkward collocations and word choices, such as 'dressing scenes' and 'uses stylish dresses.' While your meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated or topic-specific vocabulary limits your score. Try to incorporate more precise adjectives and nouns related to fashion, sociology, and personality traits to demonstrate a wider range of lexical control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'Dressing is despite the many things,' 'clothes are also shows the human genders,' and 'follow the their roots.' These errors, while not always impeding communication, occur frequently enough to distract the reader. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and the correct use of articles and prepositions. Proofreading for basic sentence construction errors will help you achieve a higher level of accuracy.
