Student answer (Band 5.5)
It has been observed that some individuals believe that they can tell a lot about a person's culture and character on behalf of that person's choice of clothes. If questioned. I strongly disagree with this statement because a choice of clothes is not provide enough information to say too much about anyone's character. my inclination is justified in the the ensuing paragraphs with valid reasons and appropriate examples.
First argument put forward for my stance is that individual's character is not rely on their choise of cloths it considers some other information too such as their nature, perspectives, point of views, thinking etc. People can get just idea about person's culture, can not talk a lot about it. A choice of outfits is just express person's preference, nothing more than that. For instance, someone who prefer to wear modren outfits might be follow traditional methods in other preferences. It totally diniable that choice of cloth is enough to judge anyone's character.
Furthermore, There are several culture in the world. diverse countries like india contains numerous cuture in ti. Each culture has their own tradition or own traditional dresses and outfits. Nowdays people have been fascinated by wearing other culture's outfits like on special occasions or on special evenets. For example, on navaratri a famouse festival of gujrat state. Other state's people enjoy it by wearing gujrati traditional dresses like chaniyacholi. Outfit is just a choice, everyone can wear what they want there is no restrictions to wear other cuture's costumes. It is not realible to say a lot about person's cuture by their cloths.
To conclude, choice of cloths is not enough information to discuss person's character or culture. choice of oudfits is just action of perticular person. I do not agree with that a choice of cloths can express anyone's character or the cuture. people can guess the cuture but only in case of cuture. totally deny in regards of the character.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
You have addressed the prompt by clearly stating your disagreement and providing reasons. However, the development of your ideas is somewhat repetitive. For instance, you mention that clothes are just a 'choice' multiple times without significantly expanding on the psychological or social reasons why character and culture are distinct from fashion. To reach a higher band, ensure each paragraph introduces a distinct, well-supported point rather than restating the same argument in different words. While your position is clear, the depth of analysis is limited, which keeps the response at a mid-level band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, phrases like 'First argument put forward for my stance is that' are slightly unnatural. Additionally, there are issues with referencing; in the second paragraph, the transition between discussing character and culture is abrupt. The flow between sentences is sometimes hindered by grammatical errors, making the progression of ideas feel a bit disjointed at times. Improving the variety and accuracy of linking words would significantly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it is quite repetitive, particularly the words 'clothes', 'culture', and 'character'. There are several spelling errors, such as 'choise', 'cloths', 'modren', 'diniable', 'realible', and 'perticular', which suggest a lack of precision. You attempt to use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'traditional dresses' and 'festivals', but the range is limited. To improve, focus on learning synonyms and collocations to avoid repeating the same basic terms and pay closer attention to the spelling of common words.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the essay, including subject-verb agreement issues (e.g., 'character is not rely on', 'someone who prefer to wear') and sentence structure problems (e.g., 'If questioned. I strongly disagree'). You rely mostly on simple sentences, and your attempts at more complex structures often contain errors that can occasionally impede the reader's understanding. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with misplaced periods and missing commas. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
