Student answer (Band 6.0)
In the modern era, technology is all over the world, and people can gain more knowledge about everything. Because of the internet, it is very easy for individuals to research and learn about other cultures, and they can easily recognize people from other cultures by their clothing style. I agree with this statement and will describe it in the following paragraphs.
First and foremost, in a world of different cultures, everyone has their specific cultural clothes, but most of the people prefer to wear formal clothes in offices and casuals on their daily lives so, individuals only wear their cultural clothes on special occasions. Nowadays, the Internet is everywhere around the world, and every human being uses social media platforms daily such as, Instagram, Facebook and Snapchat, where people connect with others. On social media, there are lots of different cultural users from various countries, which helps people to know about different culture and their lifestyles, which makes others tell about a person's culture by their clothes.
In addition, People learn about different countries in their institutions because there are various subjects regarding cultures, countries and politics, which contribute to their knowledge and every country have their national clothes. For example, in India, most of the men wear a Kurta and pyjamas, and women wear sarees. So, other people from different cultures can easily tell more about them by observing their clothes. Individuals can tell about their food, living style as well as their languages.
In conclusion, every country has lots of knowledge about other cultures because all of the people are diverse and come from other nations and because of the internet it has become very easy to learn about various cultures and their clothing style.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat repetitive and lacks depth. While you mention the internet and education as reasons, the connection between clothing and 'character' is largely ignored, focusing almost exclusively on 'culture'. To reach a higher band, you should provide more nuanced examples of how clothing might reflect personality traits or social status, rather than just cultural identity. The conclusion is a bit redundant, merely restating the introduction rather than synthesizing the arguments presented.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas. You use some cohesive devices such as 'First and foremost', 'In addition', and 'In conclusion'. However, some transitions feel mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. For instance, the phrase 'which makes others tell about a person's culture' is slightly awkward and impacts the flow. The paragraphing is appropriate, but the internal cohesion within the second paragraph could be improved by better linking the impact of social media to the specific act of identifying character traits.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the range and precision required for a higher band. You rely on basic descriptors like 'different', 'easy', and 'lots of'. There is some attempt at topic-specific vocabulary (e.g., 'cultural clothes', 'national clothes'), but the phrasing is often repetitive. To improve, try to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and avoid repeating the same words in close proximity. The word choice is functional but lacks the flexibility needed to express complex ideas about character and cultural nuance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors that persist. Examples include 'every country have their national clothes' (subject-verb agreement error) and 'casuals on their daily lives' (incorrect preposition and word choice). Punctuation is generally functional, but there are some issues with comma usage, such as the unnecessary comma after 'daily' in the first paragraph. The errors do not impede communication, but they do indicate a need for more careful proofreading of basic grammatical rules.
