Student answer (Band 5.5)
some people think that clothes tells about people culture and character so i am agree some extent with this point because there are a lot of reasons below here .
The first and foremost one point is people wearing clothes according to their culture and tradition because they are wearing like traditional clothes on a special occasion. For example, in India, many people wear traditional outfits such as women wearing like a saree, Punjabi suit, and men's wearing like a kurta pajama during the weddings and religious celebration. So they have their own culture tradition with their clothes.
secondly, clothes can sometimes show like person, personality and preference Like someone who usually wear like bright, colorful clothes may be confident and outgoing, and they have their practical personality. In my experience, I have noticed some people like pay attention to often choose clothes that match their personal style and make them feel confident.
However, I don't believe that clothes always provide an accurate picture of someone's character because sometimes people are wearing like different clothes, but they have their jobs as well as they know about like all cultures and tradition and also know about their like how to make a personality as well. therefore, it would be unfair to judge a person's personality based on their appearance.
in my conclusion, I believe that clothing can give us some information about the person's character, but it should not be used as the only way to judge someone.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The essay addresses the prompt by discussing both the cultural and character-related aspects of clothing. However, the response is slightly under the 250-word minimum, which impacts the development of ideas. While you provide relevant examples like traditional Indian attire, the discussion on personality is somewhat superficial. To improve, you should expand on your arguments with more depth and ensure you meet the word count requirement to fully develop your position. Your stance is clear, but the overall development is limited by the brevity of the response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'The first and foremost', 'secondly', and 'however' to transition between ideas. However, the flow is sometimes hindered by repetitive sentence structures and a lack of sophisticated linking words. The referencing is generally clear, but the paragraphing could be more effectively utilized to separate distinct points. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices to connect your sentences and ideas more fluidly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
Your vocabulary is adequate for the task, allowing you to communicate your ideas clearly. You use topic-specific terms like 'traditional outfits', 'religious celebration', and 'personal style'. However, there is a reliance on simple, repetitive phrasing such as 'wearing like' and 'know about'. There are also some minor errors in word choice and collocation that slightly affect the precision of your writing. To improve, try to incorporate more varied and precise vocabulary to express your ideas without relying on filler words or repetitive structures.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay uses a mix of simple and some complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb forms ('clothes tells', 'people wearing', 'someone who usually wear') and article usage. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with some missing commas and capitalization errors. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, as well as attempting more varied complex sentence structures.
