Student answer (Band 6.0)
In contemporary times, one of the pressing concern argued in the society is that it is easy to identify about an individuals character and culture from his/her style of clothing. I partially agree to this statement as in modern times people are more adaptive towards comfortable clothing regardless of their caste, creed or religion until and unless significant form of clothing style which represents a relic old virtues of a religion.
To commence with, world has complex diversity in culture and tradition which has been followed since periodical times. Such way of clothing can be easily judged as a symbolical tradition. To cite an example, in India, a person identification is justified on based on a cultural and religious differences such as in Punjab, Man wear turban on their heads, in Muslim community ladies often wear Hijab while going out of their homes, Rajasthani women prefer wearing veil on their head after getting married, south Indian men wrap a fine cloth around their waist which is traditionally called Lungi in regional language. Whereas, in international clothing, 'Kimono' is widely well known in Japan as symbolic attire.
Nevertheless, change is the spice of life. With the duration of time, people are getting more inclined towards the modern society, especially, Gen-Z generation who always prefer comfort above anything.
For instance, nowadays, baggy style pants, oversized shirts, skinny wear are much in vogue these days. Thus, such people are not easily identical from their way of wearing garments.
To recapitulate, it is necessary to have a good balance in society allowing people to have autonomy to wear attire as per their preferences despite of being judged by the society. As all human beings have right to live the way they want and such instances can maintain equilibrium in the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
You have addressed all parts of the prompt by providing a clear position and supporting it with relevant examples. You successfully balanced the argument by discussing traditional cultural attire and the modern shift toward comfort-based fashion. However, the development of your ideas could be more nuanced. For instance, while you list several cultural examples, the link between 'character' and clothing is less explored than the link between 'culture' and clothing. To reach a higher band, ensure that both aspects of the prompt (culture and character) are equally developed throughout your supporting paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a distinct focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'Nevertheless', and 'To recapitulate' to guide the reader. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical or forced. Additionally, there are minor issues with referencing and flow, such as the sentence 'Such way of clothing can be easily judged as a symbolical tradition', which is slightly awkward. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that sentences flow more naturally into one another would enhance the overall coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, including terms like 'contemporary', 'equilibrium', and 'autonomy'. You also successfully incorporate specific cultural examples like 'Kimono' and 'Lungi'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'periodical times' (should be 'ancient times' or 'traditionally') and 'person identification is justified on based on' (should be 'a person's identity is determined by'). While these errors do not impede communication, they limit your score. Expanding your use of more precise collocations would help elevate your lexical range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this level. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles (e.g., 'the society', 'a person identification'), subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'Man wear'), and prepositions (e.g., 'despite of being judged'). While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of your main points. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, specifically regarding pluralization and the correct use of articles, as these are recurring issues throughout your response.
