Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is always argued on judging the person's culture by his dressing sense. Though, I do believe this almost justify about the nature of an individual, and his traits. It would be more articulated in further paragraphs.

To begin with, uniforms has always been playing his role, as it reflects discipline. It would be more easy if and military officer wearing his uniform, people would believe that he is dedicated, brave and truthful. There would not be a hesitation in belief that, a person would intent to harm though his clothes. Though, on the same hand, if any offender running to save his life, idealize to dress up like an army official. People will tend to see him upon his clothes are that could hide his identity.

Furthermore, nature can be predicted though, the clothes and profession. To elaborate, doctors, nurses and medical professionals are most likely to be more patient and calm. As their profession need this traits and it is easy to adapt, because of the working environment there get. likewise lawyers and sherifs are most trusted according to their dressing style. The only reason is that, a person will have a pre-defined image for that profession so he would judge that more efficiently.

In conclusion, human nature is always unbiased when it come to judging a person through his clothes, as it has its prerequisite thinking for certain group of people. I do support this motion, because there is always a upper hand when some clothes has always seen through the same lens.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position in favor of the idea that clothing reflects character and culture. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and occasionally confusing. For instance, the argument regarding uniforms is slightly contradictory, as it discusses both the positive perception of an officer and the negative scenario of an offender using a uniform as a disguise. While the ideas are relevant, they lack depth and logical consistency. The conclusion attempts to summarize the position but uses somewhat vague language, such as 'prerequisite thinking,' which does not fully clarify the argument. To improve, you should focus on providing more coherent examples that directly support your main thesis without introducing conflicting scenarios.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or misused. For example, the transition 'Though, on the same hand' is non-standard and awkward. Additionally, the logical progression between sentences is sometimes interrupted by grammatical errors, making it difficult to follow the flow of thought. While there is an attempt to use linking words like 'To begin with' and 'Furthermore,' the relationships between ideas are not always clearly established. Improving the variety and accuracy of your cohesive devices will help create a smoother, more professional flow.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward word choices, such as 'articulated' used incorrectly in the introduction and 'sherifs' (misspelled) and 'prerequisite thinking.' The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, relying on basic descriptors. To reach a higher band, you should aim to use more precise collocations and academic vocabulary. For example, instead of saying 'dressing sense,' you could use 'attire' or 'personal style.' Expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary will help you express your ideas more clearly and effectively.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are frequent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'uniforms has always been playing his role'), incorrect article usage, and awkward sentence structures (e.g., 'It would be more easy if and military officer wearing his uniform'). The attempt at complex sentences often results in errors that obscure the intended meaning. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically ensuring that subjects and verbs agree and that prepositions are used correctly. Reducing the number of errors in simple sentences should be your priority before attempting more complex structures.
