Student answer (Band 5.0)
In India, there are various kinds of people lived with diverse culture according to that living area of different states. They lived with the maintaining of their culture by following their rules. In this essay, some individuals are believe that the clothes of people which represent the identity of culture and character, wisely. According to my opinion, I agree with this statement that the dressing sense of people display the culture and character. I will mention the points regarding a sentence with some related examples in this essay.
We all know that we are living in a country which is full of diversity of culture. In India, there are different types of people lived with unique identity according to their origin. For example, Gujarati people easily surge out by their language, their clothing style of saree and their behaviour also. As well as, women's wear a salwar and men's wear a dhoti kurta with paghdi in Punjab will show their culture. So, this kinds of clothing style will automatically identify their culture and character. Some benefits to wearing about same clothing sense gives a uniformity of people which is maintained.
Nowadays, most of people follow the western countries. They do not worry about their original culture, and also mess up it with trending western culture. And today's generation follow them blindly.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the essay addresses the prompt by stating a clear position, the arguments are underdeveloped. The discussion on how clothing reflects culture is repetitive, and the final paragraph regarding western influence is disconnected from the main argument and lacks depth. Because the essay is under-length and the ideas are not fully extended or supported with sufficient detail, it does not meet the criteria for a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is weak. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often mechanical or misused, such as 'As well as' at the start of a sentence or 'So, this kinds of clothing'. The referencing is sometimes unclear, and the transition between the discussion of Indian culture and the final paragraph about westernization is abrupt, making the overall flow feel disjointed.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'surge out' instead of 'stand out' or 'maintaining of their culture'. The student relies on basic vocabulary to express ideas, and there is little attempt to use less common or more precise lexical items. The errors in word formation, such as 'dressing sense' (which is a common Indian English collocation but less standard in international English), also limit the score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement ('some individuals are believe', 'people lived'), pluralization ('this kinds of'), and article usage. The sentence structures are mostly simple or contain errors when attempting complexity. Punctuation is also inconsistent. The high frequency of these errors indicates a lack of control over basic grammatical structures.
