Student answer (Band 5.0)
There are many believers of a notion that says a person's clothes can revel their culture and character. Many believe that's not the case. However, I am standing on completely opposite side of this as there are other aspects associated with this notion which i am about to mention in upcoming paragraphs.
There are other aspects that can be helpful to know about an individual's upbringing. Human behaviour is one of the aspect that gives us valuable insights of an individual's personality and tradition. For instance, a person has good sense of clothes and style trends however he is a gangster. Since he wears good clothes that does not define if a person has good heart. Although a person's behaviour towards you maybe kind, not for others who are not very close to him may gets the wrong impression.
Additionally, language play vital role in defining an individual's character and culture as everybody born with a language that has been spoken since there were raised. A certain language and the way it is being spoken can revel a person's tradition and personality. For example, a person who is born in a city and other who is born in a village will be having different tone of speaking even if they share the same language.
To conclude, I totally disagree with the fact that there is a possibility to know about someone's personality and culture by their clothes. However, the behaviour and language can also be considered while defining character.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt but fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which negatively impacts the score. While you clearly state your position, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The argument regarding 'gangsters' and 'city versus village' is relevant but lacks the depth and academic support required for a higher band. To improve, ensure you fully explore your arguments with more detailed examples and ensure the essay meets the length requirement to avoid a penalty. The conclusion is brief and does not fully synthesize the points made in the body paragraphs.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and repetitive. For example, the transition 'Additionally' is used, but the overall flow between sentences is occasionally disjointed. The referencing is sometimes unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between the gangster example and the broader argument about culture is not fully articulated. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring a smoother transition between ideas would enhance the logical progression of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range expected at higher levels. There are several spelling errors, such as 'revel' instead of 'reveal', and some awkward phrasing, such as 'standing on completely opposite side of this'. You rely on basic vocabulary to express your ideas. To reach a higher band, you should aim to incorporate more sophisticated collocations and topic-specific vocabulary related to sociology or personal identity, while ensuring that words are used accurately in context.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Examples include 'Human behaviour is one of the aspect' (should be 'aspects'), 'language play vital role' (should be 'plays a vital role'), and 'everybody born with' (should be 'everybody is born with'). Subject-verb agreement and article usage are inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy.
