Student answer (Band 5.0)
In the modern society, the judgement of people's culture as well character from their body language and clothes. I am partially agree with statement.
First of all, if you are immigrant and you get a chance to visit the different countries you can elaborate your culture worldwide by using cultural clothes. For examples, last year I was watching Vaisakhi festival on the international channel and i feel proud on our culture. Because a group of Bhangra department is perform on the foreign stage and i saw most of the gathering people was not belonging to our society. So that group set an image of our culture on top of mind on crowded people who was watching that performance in live. In social era foreign people can watch culture on the internet if they have any plan to visit other country, so they can carry or buy those type of cultural dresses.
But on the other hand, nowadays people can judge to other by their clothes, if anyone wear a dirty cloth they can minimize the image of that person and they are doing backbites regarding their character. Even that they determine education level by their dressing sense.
In conclusion, if group performing on big stage to wear cultural clothes they show the cultural activity that would be symbol of great mind thinking.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you present a position, the arguments are underdeveloped and lack depth. For instance, the example regarding the Vaisakhi festival is somewhat tangential and does not clearly link back to how clothes reveal a person's character. The conclusion is also abrupt and does not effectively summarize the main points. To improve, you must expand on your reasoning with more specific, relevant examples and ensure you meet the length requirement to allow for full development of your arguments.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay has a basic structure with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. However, the logical progression is often hindered by awkward phrasing and unclear transitions. For example, the transition 'In social era' is unnatural, and the connection between the Vaisakhi example and the prompt is weak. Paragraphing is present, but the ideas within the paragraphs lack a clear, cohesive flow. You should focus on using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') to connect your sentences and ideas more effectively, ensuring that each paragraph has a clear central theme.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and often repetitive. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'backbites' (which is not standard in this context) and 'great mind thinking'. Phrases like 'judgement of people's culture' and 'minimize the image' are imprecise. To reach a higher band, you need to use a broader range of vocabulary, including less common lexical items and more precise collocations. Focus on learning how to use words in their correct context rather than relying on basic or incorrectly translated terms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text that occasionally impede communication. Examples include 'I am partially agree' (should be 'I partially agree'), 'if you are immigrant' (missing article), and 'a group of Bhangra department is perform' (incorrect verb tense and structure). The sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors in subject-verb agreement or word order. You need to focus on basic sentence construction, specifically articles, verb tenses, and subject-verb agreement, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
