Student answer (Band 6.5)
It is often argued that the selection of clothes significantly reflects the culture and character of individuals. I completely agree with this viewpoint because people usually wear clothes according to their regions and personal choices.
To begin with, people prefer to wear clothes according to their culture. In other words, every person belongs to a different region, where they follow their elders in terms of choosing clothe, by which they represent their culture and inspire others. For instance, while following modern trends occasionally, people who live in Punjab are always feel comfortable to wear kurta pajama, where indicate that they belong to Punjabi families. Therefore, the choice of clothes play a vital role to show culture, which distinct people from others.
Furthermore, the quality of clothes is another way to know more about others' character because people are not only prefer to groom themselves by wearing clothes of their favorite color, brand and type but also style them according to their desire, which is wisely illustrate their nature towards the selection of products. To exemplify, wealthy people can be noticed by their physical appearance because they always prefer to purchase and adore branded items over normal ones. Consequently, personal choice is effectively shown by selecting clothes according to personal choice.
In conclusion, although some people change their choice of wearing clothes according their society or profession, I largely agree with this that it is somehow possible to know people's culture and character by their physical appearance, which they usually wear according to their region and personal taste.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position and providing supporting arguments. Both culture and character are discussed, though the development of the 'character' argument is somewhat superficial. For instance, the link between 'wealthy people' and 'branded items' is a bit of a generalization and could have been explored with more nuance. However, the main ideas are relevant and the position is maintained throughout the essay. To improve, you should aim to provide more detailed explanations for your examples to ensure the arguments are fully extended rather than just stated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, each with a central theme. You use cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion' to guide the reader. However, some transitions are slightly mechanical or awkward, such as 'by which they represent their culture' or 'which wisely illustrate their nature'. Additionally, some sentences are slightly repetitive in their structure. Improving the flow between sentences by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'which', 'they') is always precise will help elevate your score in this criterion.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using words like 'significantly', 'occasionally', and 'effectively'. However, there are some issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'wisely illustrate' (which is not a standard collocation) and 'are always feel comfortable' (grammatical error affecting lexical accuracy). You tend to rely on simpler vocabulary, and some phrases are slightly unnatural. To reach a higher band, focus on using more precise collocations and less common lexical items that fit the context of the argument more naturally.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While you attempt complex sentences, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('the choice of clothes play', 'people... are always feel comfortable') and word forms ('choosing clothe', 'wisely illustrate'). Punctuation is generally functional, but some sentences are clunky due to these errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex structures are formed accurately. Proofreading for these specific types of errors would significantly improve the clarity and accuracy of your writing.
