Student answer (Band 5.5)
There is an ongoing debate about whether selection of clothes could tell about individuals culture and character. While some people argue that a piece of garments cannot decide a person's character or background. Both views have their merits. I agree with the latter opinion. My inclination is elaborated further in the ensuing paragraphs with relevant examples.
The compelling reason to justify my stand is globalization. In modern society, times have changed, and numerous people travel all around the world from one country to another for various reasons, such as better job opportunities and education. When people start to reside in different countries. They wear attire for reasons of weather and lifestyles. who can be from different cultures. For example, Indian students who never wear Western clothes in their home country might wear them in a different country, such as Canada, due to weather reasons or personal choice they might have from the conservative culture.
Another example to prove my point is that intelligent people such as researcher and scientist's outfits. This is because most of the times they are more likely to indulge in their experiments and research. Therefore, they might not have chance to change their cloths but they do have wealthy background and better character too . to cite an example, Graham Bell, albert Einstein, Galileo.
On the contrary some people counter claim the mention support. They claim that since society has become everyone is identify by their looks. Because it state backgound which contains unique identity of the specific area of the people. For instance, those who live in a forest wear their garments related to what accesible for them or what the area famous for.
To conclude and offer my position, while both views have their own opinion of identity defined by clothes, and numerous people now reside everyhere due to some reasons and intelligent people I am in favour of personally cannot judge by clothes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat uneven. The argument regarding globalization is relevant, but the example of scientists is less effectively linked to the core question of 'character' versus 'clothes'. The conclusion is slightly repetitive and lacks a strong summary of the main points. While the task is addressed, the supporting arguments could be more logically extended to reach a higher band. The response is consistent in its stance, but the depth of analysis is limited by some unclear phrasing.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the phrase 'On the contrary some people counter claim the mention support' is awkward and disrupts the flow. There are also issues with sentence-level cohesion, such as the sentence fragment 'to cite an example, Graham Bell, albert Einstein, Galileo.' which lacks a verb. While the overall progression is discernible, the lack of smooth transitions between and within paragraphs limits the score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. There are several instances of word-choice errors, such as 'selection of clothes' instead of 'choice of clothing' and 'piece of garments' which is grammatically incorrect. The student attempts to use some topic-specific vocabulary, but the phrasing is often unnatural or repetitive. Spelling errors, such as 'accesible' and 'everyhere', are present. To improve, the student should focus on collocations and more sophisticated synonyms to express complex ideas more clearly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'scientist's outfits'), punctuation errors, and sentence fragments. The use of articles and prepositions is inconsistent throughout the text. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the response from reaching a higher band. More attention to proofreading and sentence construction is required to improve accuracy.
