Student answer (Band 5.5)
A significant number of individulas believe that there is chance to know about anyone's culture and character from the way in which they dreesed. I am disagree with this statement and reason behind this will be discussed in the following paragraphs.
To begin with the first and foremost cause of why do not judge one's by there clothing is not having enoght money. To explain it, poor people are not able to buy branded cloths because of less budget but when we try to know about them, most of them all well educated and eventhough a large chunk studed about fashion and designing yet they are unemployed by some reason and not able to buy high cost cloths. As a result, needy people do not wear international brand not because of their culture but because of insufficent money.
Morerover, Most of the time it is situational. To elaborate it, in many cultural programmes it is necessity to wear cultural cloths according to the season, despite of these rules people wear the cloths from their tradition, even some foreigners also follow them. Therefore, people dressed according to the place, where they are going.
For example, a survey was conducted in Delhi about 10 years ago about people's chice for their cloths they replyed they are dressing up according to their choice on matter wheather it is their culture or not.
To sum up, clothing depand on anyone's choice , they can choose according to their budget and situation. It does not reflect their culture or character.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses the prompt and maintains a clear position throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you provide reasons for your disagreement—financial constraints and situational factors—the arguments lack depth and specific, well-explained examples. For instance, the example regarding the survey in Delhi is vague and does not clearly illustrate how it proves that clothing is independent of character. To achieve a higher band, ensure that your supporting points are fully extended with more logical analysis rather than just stating them. The conclusion is present but brief, and the overall development feels slightly repetitive.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the structure. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'To sum up' to signal transitions. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural. Additionally, there are issues with referencing and sentence-level flow; for example, the transition between the discussion of poverty and the conclusion is abrupt. The logical progression of ideas is present but could be smoother. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one would enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is generally adequate for the task but lacks the range and precision required for higher bands. There are several spelling errors, such as 'individulas', 'dreesed', 'enoght', 'cloths' (often used instead of 'clothes'), and 'wheather'. These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle with collocations, such as 'needy people' or 'high cost cloths'. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling of common words and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary related to culture, fashion, and social identity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'I am disagree' (should be 'I disagree'), 'judge one's by there clothing' (should be 'judge one by their clothing'), and 'eventhough a large chunk studed'. These errors, along with issues in subject-verb agreement and word order, occur frequently. While the meaning is generally clear, the high frequency of errors impacts the overall readability. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, verb tenses, and proofreading for common grammatical slips.
