Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is argued that, by assessing an individual's outfit can gives us many information regarding his heritage and personality. Though i agree with this notion that physical appearance of a person gives us many clues about his cultural background , but i disagree that it can tell us accurate about his character.
Every cultural has it's specific dress code which represents their cultural values. While looking at their outfit, we can consider their traditions ,beliefs and religious values. For instance , if we travel internationally then we come across the people of different ethnicity. If a person is wearing a shalwar qameez ,it tells us that he is from Pakistan or India and so on. So, a person dress code elaborates its cultural background.
On the other hand, only an individual appearance can not totally explains its character. Character belongs to an individual's personal traits. Group of people with same background could have same dree code , but could be different in their character. Each culture has a mixture of alternative personality traits. For example , If we have a pre judgment in our minds that all persons with caps ,long bear and in loose cloths are Talban. Its not always true ,people could wear it as a cultural dress. It does not mean that they are all from Talban group.
To conclude , there is no doubt a person's physical appearance can give us knowledge about its heritage but it does not tell us much about its personality. To asses a person completely there are multiple aspects to consider before coming a final judgment related to an individual.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your response addresses all parts of the task by presenting a clear position on whether clothing reveals culture and character. You successfully explore both sides, agreeing with the cultural aspect while disagreeing with the character aspect. However, some ideas are more fully developed than others. For instance, your explanation of cultural dress codes using the example of a 'shalwar qameez' is relevant and clear. On the other hand, the discussion regarding character is somewhat under-developed and relies on a repetitive argument about stereotypes rather than fully exploring the nuances of personal traits. To move to a higher level, you need to extend and support all your main ideas with more depth and clarity throughout the essay.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
Your essay has a coherent overall arrangement, which clearly meets the requirements of the lower band while showing some elements of the next. You use paragraphing sufficiently and appropriately, dedicating distinct paragraphs to your introduction, the cultural argument, the character argument, and your conclusion. Ideas are logically sequenced, and you make use of cohesive devices such as 'Every cultural has it's specific dress code', 'While looking at their outfit', and 'On the other hand'. However, referencing and cohesion are sometimes a bit mechanical or faulty, as seen in minor awkward transitions and repetitive sentence openers. To achieve a higher band, you need to ensure that cohesive devices are used more flexibly and that referencing within and between sentences is consistently clear and natural.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully attempting less common items such as 'heritage', 'ethnicity', and 'pre judgment'. However, there are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling that occasionally detract from the precision of your writing. For example, writing 'cultural' instead of 'culture' ('Every cultural has it's specific dress code'), 'dree code' instead of 'dress code', 'cloths' instead of 'clothes', and 'Talban' instead of 'Taliban' show a lack of control over word forms and spelling. Additionally, phrasing like 'accurate about his character' instead of 'accurate about his character traits' shows limited collocation control. These errors do not impede communication, but they prevent you from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
Your writing displays a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating an attempt to use varied structures such as conditional and dependent clauses (e.g., 'Though i agree with this notion that...'). There are some errors in grammar and punctuation, but they rarely impede communication. Examples of grammatical errors include subject-verb agreement and article use, such as 'by assessing an individual's outfit can gives us many information' (incorrect modal/verb structure and uncountable noun usage), 'a person dress code' (missing possessive apostrophe), and 'only an individual appearance can not totally explains its character' (incorrect verb form after modal 'can'). To progress further, you need to increase your proportion of error-free sentences when attempting complex grammatical structures.
