Student answer (Band 6.0)

A considerable amount of people argue that the way a person is dresses can reflect their culuture as well as their personality. I partly agree with this statement, but there are other way throught which we can know about the person culture and life style.

Firstly, wearing traditional clothes represent the person roots and from where they are. To be more specific, people from different countries have their own traditional clothes, which they prefer to wear on special events such as In India people wear saree, kurta pajma, salwar suit on events like diwali, holi and many others. Moreover, theirs no doubt clothes show the personality of people. some people love to wear formal clothes on their daily basis because they want to create a professional image in the front of other people. The one who wear colorful and casual clothes, they want to show their creativity to world. Therefore, we can say choice of clothes represent the culture of a person.

However, sense of clothing is not the sole way through which we can get to know culture of people because they also follow the trends or fashion on regular basis and wearing clothes according to them so that they can potrate their image in a good way. it doesnot means the people who wore the expensive clothes are richer and others are poor. It's totally depends on the choice of people what they want to wear and which make them more comfortable.

In conclusion, we can get to know about the culture and style of a person by their clothes, but that not the only way. folks wear the clothes according to their choice which make them feel worth and light.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

Your position is clear: you partly agree that clothing can reveal culture and personality, while noting that it is not the only way to understand someone. The examples of traditional Indian clothing and people choosing formal or colourful clothes are relevant and help address both culture and character. You also develop a counterpoint by explaining that fashion trends and comfort influence clothing choices, so clothes do not reliably indicate wealth or background. Some points, however, are asserted rather than fully explained—for example, the link between casual clothing and creativity could be qualified, since clothing choices do not always reveal a person’s character. To strengthen the response, explain the limits of these inferences and develop one example in greater depth.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting what clothing can reveal, a contrasting paragraph, and a conclusion. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Moreover,” “However,” and “In conclusion” make the main stages easy to follow. The ideas generally progress from cultural dress to personal style and then to the limitations of judging people by clothes. At times, though, the links between points are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Therefore, we can say choice of clothes represent the culture” repeats the earlier claim rather than drawing together the paragraph’s ideas, and the shift from fashion trends to wealth is abrupt. Use clearer referencing and connect each example directly to the point it supports.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use a relevant range of vocabulary, including “traditional clothes,” “professional image,” “fashion,” “creativity,” and “comfortable,” which allows you to discuss both cultural identity and personal style. There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “on special events.” However, noticeable spelling, word-form, and collocation errors reduce precision: “culuture,” “potrate,” “their roots,” and “on their daily basis” are examples. Some phrases are also unnatural, including “create a professional image in the front of other people” and “feel worth and light.” These do not prevent the reader from understanding the main ideas, but they make the writing less fluent. Aim to learn common word partnerships and proofread spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a relative clause in “clothes, which they prefer to wear” and a contrast introduced by “because.” The overall meaning is usually understandable, but some grammatical errors affect accuracy. For example, “the way a person is dresses” has an incorrect verb form, while “traditional clothes represent” needs a plural subject or a singular verb construction. Other examples include “it doesnot means” and “that not the only way,” where verb forms or auxiliary verbs are missing. Sentence boundaries and punctuation also need attention, particularly where a new sentence begins with “some” or “it.” Review subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and complete sentence structure, then check punctuation during editing.
