Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this evolving world, it has become a trend to look different. Some people say, it is difficult to guess a person's character and culture just by looking at his dressing. I totally agree with this point of view that you cannot judge a person just by the selection of his clothing. There are a lot of compelling reasons to support this viewpoint.
First of all, I would say the todays world has become a global village and people from different cultures are following each other in almost every aspect of life from clothing to food and also to some extent traditions. For instance, it has become a trend to wear jeans and shirts in the countries like Pakistan and India, although this is not their national or tradtional dress. So it is quiet difficult to develope perception about people just by their dressing.
Secondly, it has been noticed that some people in the countries like Europe and America, people try to link terrorism with a particular islamic dress code. They do so in hate just try to link any kind of harassment to the people wearing typical pakistani dress. Terrorism has no religion so people should not associate it with a particular dress code. So, it is a totally wrong concept to to guess a person's character just by his dress code or choice of clothes.
In conclusion, as the world has become a global village and where people try to follow other country's culture, some weak civilizations are losing their identity. Now only a few people stick to their basic or traditional clothes. In this way, we cannot tell a person's moral values or his culture just by the selection of his clothes.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that clothing alone is not a reliable way to judge someone’s culture or character, and the conclusion returns to this view. The examples about jeans being worn in Pakistan and India and assumptions linking Islamic dress with terrorism are relevant to the question. However, the first example mainly shows that clothing styles cross cultural boundaries; explain more directly how this makes an individual’s background difficult to identify. The second point focuses on prejudice and terrorism, but its connection to judging character could be made clearer and more carefully developed. To strengthen the response, explain how clothing choices may reflect practical needs, fashion, or personal preference rather than a person’s values or identity.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs signalled by “First of all” and “Secondly,” and a conclusion. This makes the main line of argument easy to follow. Some linking is mechanical, however, with repeated “So” and “In this way,” and the second body paragraph contains a confusing shift: “some people in the countries like Europe and America, people try to link terrorism…” The reference to “they” in the following sentence is also not fully clear. Improve progression by giving each paragraph one focused claim, then explaining and illustrating it in sequence. Use fewer formulaic transitions and make pronoun references explicit so the reader can follow who is making the assumptions.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use a range of relevant vocabulary, including “global village,” “traditional dress,” “associate,” and “moral values,” which helps express the topic. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “compelling reasons” and “particular dress code.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward: “develop perception” would be more natural as “form an impression,” while “weak civilizations” is unclear and does not convey the intended idea. Spelling errors such as “tradtional,” “quiet,” and “develope” also reduce accuracy. Aim for precise, natural combinations and check spelling carefully; avoid broad or potentially misleading labels when describing cultures and communities.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a reason clause in “although this is not their national or traditional dress” and a concluding clause beginning “as the world has become a global village.” Meaning is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “Some people say, it is difficult” has incorrect punctuation between the reporting clause and its content, and “the todays world” has an unnecessary article and incorrect possessive form. The sentence beginning “some people in the countries like Europe and America, people try…” repeats the subject and is difficult to parse. There is also a duplicated “to” in “to to guess.” Review articles, sentence boundaries, and clause structure, and proofread for repeated words while continuing to use varied sentence forms.
