Student answer (Band 6.0)
Many people are arguing about the possibilities to judge about someone personalities and their culture by how they choose to wear their clothing. In my opinion, I agree with this statement. Based on their preferences, the colors, and the cultural clothes they wear, we could assume where they are from and what their moods are, too.
The first reason I would say is evident in how people dress up; besides their looks, it's really obvious to guess if they are wearing some cultural attire and what country they are representing. Say, for example, India: they have these uniform outfits- the same fabric, design, even matching jewelry in their wardrobe easier to tell those styles are from there. Another example is the male Punjabi wearing a cover on his hair called a turban; with that, we can easily recognise their culture, even their character, due to their styles.
Furthermore, another reason is the color of a person's clothing we can sense what their character are. For instance, a person who is wearing black apparel looks elegant, strong, and confident. We easily perceive them by how they wear and bring their aura when they enter the room. I believe that it's really matter what color we wear it represent to our personality and traits.
To sum up, it's normal to criticize somebody by how they look where they are originally from, what's their background and thier characteristic through the outfit they are wearing. Fashion still shows our real identity, and whether or not a lot of human beings will still judge us no matter what we wear.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
Your position is clear from the introduction: you agree that clothing can reveal culture and character, and you give two relevant reasons—cultural dress and colour. The examples of Indian attire and a Punjabi turban help illustrate how clothing may signal cultural background. However, the cultural example is more developed than the claim about character: saying black clothing suggests confidence is asserted rather than explained or supported with a specific example. The conclusion also shifts towards judging people by their appearance without clarifying the limits of what clothing can reliably tell us. To strengthen the response, explain each main idea more fully and distinguish between a reasonable impression and a definite conclusion about someone’s personality.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, two body paragraphs presenting separate reasons, and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “The first reason,” “Furthermore,” and “To sum up” make the progression easy to follow, and the examples are placed in relevant paragraphs. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, some connections are mechanical, and the first body paragraph moves quickly from Indian clothing to a turban and then to character without fully explaining the relationship between these points. The conclusion repeats the central claim rather than drawing the two reasons together. Use clearer links between claims and examples, and make each paragraph develop one connected line of reasoning.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of topic-related vocabulary, including “cultural attire,” “matching jewelry,” “black apparel,” “elegant,” and “identity.” These choices allow you to discuss both cultural signals and personal impressions, and the meaning is generally understandable. There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “bring their aura,” though this expression is not natural in this context. Some word choices and collocations are inaccurate or imprecise: “judge about someone personalities,” “uniform outfits,” and “what country they are representing” do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling errors such as “thier” also reduce accuracy. Build precision by learning common collocations for clothing and personality, and check spelling and word forms during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including the conditional idea “if they are wearing some cultural attire” and the example introduced by “For instance.” The overall meaning remains clear, which is a strength at this level. However, some grammatical errors occur in agreement, sentence construction, and punctuation. For example, “what their character are” should use a singular or plural form consistently, while “I believe that it's really matter” has an incorrect verb pattern. The sentence beginning “the colors, and the cultural clothes they wear” is also awkwardly structured, and the long sentence about Indian clothing needs clearer punctuation and a complete grammatical structure. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and verb patterns, and divide long sentences when their structure becomes difficult to control.
