Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0
You take a position by saying, “i agree,” and you make relevant points about clothing reflecting differences between village and city life, as well as personal choice. However, the response addresses the question only minimally: it does not explain clearly how clothing reveals a person’s character, and the cultural point is not developed with a specific example or explanation. The final paragraph, beginning “Culture is a major part,” is difficult to interpret and does not clearly support your position. The response is also 110 words below the required minimum, leaving too little space to develop reasons and examples. To improve, state your view clearly, explain both culture and character, and support each point with a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0
There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you introduce the topic and use “One the one hand” and “One the other hand” to signal two points. The village-and-city comparison also gives the first body paragraph a recognisable focus. However, the ideas are not arranged in a clear, logical progression, and the second paragraph does not develop a distinct argument. Several points run together—for example, the sentence about clothing choices, culture, and “different places” shifts between ideas without showing how they connect. The final sentence is especially hard to follow. Use separate paragraphs for your position and each main reason, and connect each example explicitly to the question.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “culture,” “society,” “freedom,” and clothing examples such as “saree” and “dhoti kurta.” This gives the reader a basic sense of the subject. However, the range is limited and several word choices or forms make meaning unclear, such as “a persons culture,” “selection of clothes,” and “sharing all womens choices.” Spelling errors, including “religons,” “indivuduals,” and “thier,” also reduce accuracy. Aim for more precise phrases and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe clothing as “traditional dress” or say that it “reflects cultural identity,” then use these expressions to explain your examples.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5
You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, and the contrast between village and city clothing shows an effort to connect related ideas. However, grammatical control is weak: errors are frequent and sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to understand. For example, “Some individuals are explain” has an incorrect verb form, while “a persons culture and selection of clothes it is possible” lacks a clear sentence structure. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries in “Culture is a major part of humans life we are living in a society.” Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then join them with clear conjunctions. Check apostrophes and punctuation when editing.
