Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

You have addressed all three bullet points: describing the problem, explaining the impact on your work, and stating your desired resolution. However, the response is significantly under the 150-word minimum requirement, which limits the development of your ideas. While the purpose of the letter is clear, the brevity prevents you from providing a more professional or detailed account of the situation. To improve, you should expand on the specific nature of the technical fault and provide more context regarding the urgency of your work. Because the length requirement was not met, the task achievement is negatively impacted.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The letter lacks formal paragraphing, which is essential for a professional letter. The ideas are presented in a single block, making the flow feel somewhat disjointed. While you use some basic cohesive devices like 'actually' and 'in order to', the overall structure is quite mechanical. To achieve a higher band, you should organize your letter into clear paragraphs: one for the introduction and problem description, one for the impact, and one for the proposed solution. Using a wider variety of linking words (e.g., 'consequently', 'furthermore', 'therefore') would also help improve the logical progression of your ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

Your vocabulary is generally functional but limited. You rely on basic phrasing such as 'not working properly' and 'give me the new piece'. There are also some errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'give me a appointment' (should be 'make an appointment') and 'it got start again' (should be 'it restarted'). To improve, try to incorporate more precise, professional vocabulary related to technical issues and business correspondence. Expanding your range of synonyms and ensuring correct collocations will help you convey your message with greater accuracy and sophistication.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

Your writing contains several grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Examples include 'my recent purchased laptop' (should be 'my recently purchased laptop'), 'it shut off' (should be 'it shuts off' or 'it shut off'), and 'it is very crucial file' (should be 'it is a very crucial file'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and punctuation is inconsistent, particularly with the use of lowercase letters at the start of sentences. Focusing on subject-verb agreement, proper article usage, and sentence variety will significantly enhance your grammatical accuracy.
