IELTS Writing Task 1 question

You work at home and have a problem with a piece of equipment that you use for your job.

Write a letter to the shop or company which supplied the equipment. In your letter

• describe the problem with the equipment
• explain how this problem is affecting your work
• say what you want the shop or company to do

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear Sir or Madam,

Student answer (Band 7.0)

Respected sir/madam,

I am writing this letter to let you know about the problem facing with my computer i bought from your shop. The computer's screen keeps blinking, and sometimes it does not even start. I have a 12-month warranty with it as well. I hope it covers into warranty.

Secondly, my work is completely depends on my computer. As a data analyst ,i have to work frequently on my computer and if this keep happening with me , i will probably loose my job and it keeps giving me anxiety or else , i have to probably buy a new one which i really do not want to. As it comes with the guarantee as well and i feels there is something you can help me out .

I just want to say, kindly look into the matter and help me out early as possible as it is crucial for me to get my computer repaired.
