Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The letter covers all three bullet points: describing the problem, explaining the impact on work, and requesting a solution. The tone is appropriate for a formal complaint. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the explanation of how the problem affects work is a bit repetitive, and the description of the fault could be more precise. While the task requirements are met, the response lacks the depth of development required for a higher band. The structure is clear, and the purpose of the letter is immediately apparent to the reader.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The letter is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the narrative. There is a clear progression from the introduction to the problem description, the impact, and the final request. However, the use of cohesive devices is somewhat mechanical and occasionally inaccurate, such as the awkward phrasing 'just because of it' and 'with this mail I attached'. While the overall arrangement is coherent, the transitions between sentences could be smoother and more varied to improve the flow of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but shows limited range and several spelling errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'dissatisfection' (dissatisfaction), 'offical' (official), 'boox' (box), 'mechine' (machine), 'appretiate' (appreciate), and 'hopeing' (hoping). These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. While the student successfully conveys the intended meaning, the lack of precision and the spelling issues prevent a higher score. Using more sophisticated vocabulary related to consumer complaints would enhance the quality of the writing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement ('this problem effect my work'), tense usage ('I was also giving the bed order'), and awkward sentence construction ('I you please replace this product'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent and demonstrate a lack of control over complex structures. Improving basic sentence construction and proofreading for common grammatical slips would significantly improve the score.
